Where and how to check your PNR status: PNR status or passenger name record is a 10 digit unique code generated by Indian Railways. The code includes information such as the booking status - apart from giving basic information on arrival and departure time of trains. The PNR status has details of the coach and seat number and the fare paid by the passenger, among other details. By the help of a simple PNR status check, a passenger can check if their seat on the intended train is confirmed (CONF), wait listed (WL) or under reservation against cancellation (RAC). If confirmed, the PNR status gives seat and coach number reserved for the passenger.
