A total of 2,335 incidents of ceasefire violations along the LoC in the Jammu region have been recorded between May 30, 2019, and January 20, 2020, said Shripad Naik, Minister of State for Defence. A total of 17 Army personnel have died due to avalanches or snow slides in hilly areas, including Siachen, in 2019, he said.
