The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam touched the 100-mark after nine people, including a nine-year-old boy, tested positive for coronavirus, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said. The boy, who is a resident of Ward Number 3 of Jorhat town, tested positive after returning from Delhi. He is undergoing treatment at the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital, he said. Of the total cases, currently, 55 affected persons are receiving treatment in the state, while 41 patients have so far recovered from the disease. Two persons - one each from Hailakandi and Kamrup Metropolitan districts - have died due to the disease, and two have migrated.
