Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, took a strong stance after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, defending the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) as more than just a labor program, calling it a “rights-based development framework.” Speaking at a press conference, Gandhi criticised the recent shift from MNREGA to the new G RAM G law, claiming the move is a direct attack on states’ financial resources and decision-making power.
