Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday (September 29) launched a sharp attack on the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, alleging that voters' names were being deleted as part of a conspiracy and that the CEC had become a "puppet of the Modi government."
